The Great Valley Center's mission is to support organizations and activities that benefit the economic, social and environmental well-being of California's Great Central Valley. This mission is carried out through a set of targeted programs.

Each initiative brings the Center in contact with a different network of people working to improve the region. By serving the central resource point, the Center has been able to encourage people to work together throughout the region. Learn more about each program below.

Providing information and land conservation resources to the local agricultural industry.

American Leadership Forum: Great Valley Chapter
Joining and strengthening established leaders in order to serve the public good, in the Northern San Joaquin Valley of Central California.

Annual Conference
California's largest annual gathering focused on the Great Central Valley's economy, society and environment.

Great Valley Leadership Institute
A venue for local elected officials to acquire value-based leadership skills from the top experts in the nation.

Institute for the Development of Emerging Area Leaders (IDEAL)
A public policy leadership development program geared towards working professionals.

Energy Program
Sustainably meeting the future growth of the Central Valley in a manner that improves the region’s economy, environment, and energy independence.

Pixley Connect
Providing access and technology training to a rural community in Tulare County.
